  MARMALADE

According to one story, the name comes from Marie malade ('Mary is ill'). This is a reference to Mary, Queen of Scotland, who allegedly ate orange marmalade when she was not well. Bitter orange - the skin, in particular - is used for medicinal purposes as an aid to digestion. In the English Oxford Dictionary, the etymology of 'marmalade' establishes its origins as Portuguese and French - which could be why it is associated with Mary, queen of Scotland, whose preferred language was French. The word 'marmalade' was first referred to in the English documents of around 1480, which also predates Mary, Queen of Scotland. This probably refers to the import of the Portuguese product, which had reached such proportions in 1495 that it was assessed by customs duties. In French etymology it is not found until 1573.

    ENGLISH BREAKFAST

Meat: Sausage and Bacon - The combination of both bacon and sausage is one of the essential elements for a full fry. A simple pork sausage (like the pot) is ideal and the type of bacon is up to preference. Bacon (or what you just call the American bacon) is a common sight on a stew,
Beans - The inclusion of the beans may seem superficial, but they are the plaque element that anchors the food. Do not be embarrassed to reach for a can of beans - Heinz is the classic.
Tomatoes - The sweetness and acidity that comes from a cooked tomato goes a long way in the
Reduction of the flavor that is inherent in the rest of the plate. The way to prepare the tomato is once again a matter of taste, a tomato stew will work, but simply cut a tomato in half and fry in excess bacon fat, then ending with some black ground pepper, is a way Fast and delicious way to go. Many suitable fritters will come with grilled tomatoes).
The toast is forgotten, Bring in the pan fried - Pan fried is just what it sounds like on slices of toasted bread in a frying pan with butter fat, lard or bacon. It is important not to underestimate how much fat it takes to get a perfectly crisp piece of fried bread. It only takes one or two slices to satisfy the craving; After that, you may find yourself reaching for a simple piece of toasted bread.

The Eggs - Finally, the egg. Usually two, but sometimes three eggs cooked to your preference. Fatigue yolk to mind is essential, which is the sauce that carries the whole plate together!

Essential Condiments - Some things that should also be included in the essential section of a frying guide is a good cup of hot tea and a bottle of vinegar sauce, brown HP, ketchup (also known as ketchup), or both of them. If you have a pot of marmalade jam and something nice, you may want to put that on the table too. And you're always going to need a couple pieces of extra toast.

     AFTERNOON TEA

"There are few hours in life more enjoyable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.Henry James

Afternoon tea, that most of English customs par excellence is, perhaps surprisingly, a relatively new tradition. The custom of drinking tea was popularized in England during the decade of 1660 by king Carlos II and his wife the Portuguese infanta Catalina de Braganza.

Afternoon tea was introduced into England by Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, in the year 1840. The duchess would become hungry around four in the afternoon. The evening meal at home was served elegantly late at eight o'clock, leaving a long period of time between lunch and dinner. The Duchess asked for a tray of tea, bread, butter and cake to be brought to her room during the afternoon. This became a habit of her and she began to invite friends to join her.
This pause for tea became a fashionable social event. During the 1880s upper-class women and society would change into long dresses, gloves and hats for afternoon tea, which is usually served in the living room at four-five.

Té de la tarde HUK

Traditional afternoon tea consists of a selection of delicate sandwiches (including thinly sliced cucumber sandwiches, of course), scones served with cream and jam. Cakes  are also served. Tea grown in India or Ceylon is poured from silver teapots into delicate porcelain cups of bone.

To experience the best of the afternoon tea tradition, enjoy a leisurely trip to one of the city's finest hotels or visit a quaint tea room in the western country.

There are a wide variety of hotels in London offering the ultimate afternoon tea experience.
Hotels offering traditional afternoon tea include Claridges, Dorchester, Ritz and Savoy, as well as Harrods and Fortnum and Mason.
